Robotics - Our Start

Hello, my name is Emily and I am team captain of our Onoway robotics team. We are a team of smart, driven, hardworking people who love robots.

Our team started out a year ago. We have had a rough start. We started out late and we did not receive any of our parts until almost halfway though the season. There was a tough task that was ahead of us but we persevered. We worked hard to build our robot. We had no clue what we were doing but we built a robot, a functioning robot. We slowly learned how to do some basic programming.

We kept on working despite all of the struggles that we faced and we made it to the First Tech Challenge(FTC). We fought hard and we ended up coming out in third! This was a huge accomplishment for us since we were a first year team. Despite all of our accomplishments last year we could have done better. We needed to have more of a social presence and we needed to document way more.

Our goal for this year is to keep on trying. We want to take more pictures and document everything. We have a new FTC task this year. Its called Relic Recovery. We need to build a robot that can complete the challenge and score us points.
